Client 034-229 a 67 year old Caucasian female came into the office seeking help to get a Protective Order against her abusive husband. Client 034-229 is a prior client with the same abuser, but never pressed charges. On this day client 034-229 was fed up with the emotional mental and physical abuse. She was tired and ready to make a change in her life.

Client 034-229 daughter came with her to make sure she did the paper work and did not let the abuser get away with all the things he has been doing to her mother. Client 034-229 stated that her husband had been drinking came home threw a sheet of paper in her lap, as she went to tear up the paper he hit her on the knee really hard, he bruised her arm from grabbing her, and her right hand forefinger was swollen. When she got up to go get dressed to go to the magistrate, she had pain in her left knee and fell.

At this time her husband packed a suitcase and left. Client 034-229 stated she called the police but the policeman did not do a report. So finally she went to the Emergency room and had x rays on her knee, finger and had the bruising checked.

Client 034-229 stated she is very afraid of this man because he is prior-military. He was charged and arrested with assault on female. Client 034-229 came back on her court date and was awarded her one year Protective Order. The defendant can not follow, threaten, harass or have any contact with the client. Client 034-299 and daughter were very pleased with the judge’s decision.
